About Tammy Wagner, M.S.W., R.S.W.
Hello, I’m Tammy , a dedicated therapist committed to creating a compassionate and safe space where you can explore your emotions, thoughts, and experiences without judgment. I believe in meeting you with empathy, understanding, and genuine care as we work together toward meaningful change. My goal is to support you in navigating life’s challenges while fostering personal growth, resilience, and a deeper connection to yourself.

Therapy Frameworks & Approach
I draw from a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to provide compassionate care that is tailored to your unique needs and goals. My approach integrates Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Somatic Experiencing® Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), alongside a trauma-informed lens. While completing my Master of Social Work Degree, I was supervised as I completed 500 hours of couple’s therapy. This invited many learned skills into my work with couples. I continue to actively work to decolonize my practice. This integrative framework allows me to support emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and foster lasting, meaningful change in a safe and collaborative therapeutic environment.
Gottman Couple's Therapy
Through decades of research, Drs. John and Julie Gottman, founders of the world famous Love Lab, have identified the five common mistakes we make when we are at odds.

Somatic Experiencing®
Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a body-oriented therapeutic approach developed by Peter A. Levine that is designed to support the resolution of trauma and chronic stress. Grounded in an understanding of the nervous system, SE focuses on how traumatic experiences are held in the body and seeks to gently restore regulation by increasing awareness of physical sensations. Rather than relying solely on cognitive processing, Somatic Experiencing emphasizes interoception—the ability to notice and track internal bodily states. Through guided attention to sensations, clients are supported in safely processing and releasing stored survival energy associated with past experiences. This approach helps to reduce symptoms such as anxiety, hyperarousal, dissociation, and emotional overwhelm.Somatic Experiencing is widely used in the treatment of trauma-related conditions, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as stress-related and somatic symptoms. It is considered a complementary approach that can be integrated with other therapeutic modalities to promote holistic healing and long-term well-being.

Discover Personal Growth
My therapeutic approach combines evidence-based practices with a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude. I believe in creating a safe and trusting environment where clients can explore their inner world, gain insights, and work towards positive change.
Tailored Sessions
I am a mental health therapist with over 25 years of experience connecting with people and families across the lifespan, from different walks of life and cultural backgrounds, and with a full spectrum of abilities and skills. I am committed to affirming people and their inherent value and worth, without judgement. My professional experience spans a diverse range of sectors, where I have provided therapy and support to clients within educational settings, community mental health services, primary health care, justice-related programs, and non-profit organizations.
As a master's-level social worker, my foundation is grounded in a holistic understanding of the complex interplay between thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, relationships, and the broader contexts in which we live. This perspective allows me to tailor therapeutic interventions to each individual's unique experience and needs.
My approach often incorporates a somatic and sensory processing lens, recognizing that past experiences can be held within the nervous system and expressed through both emotional and physical responses. I integrate body-based practices and mindfulness to support regulation, enhance self-awareness, and foster greater connection with oneself.
Because relationships are central to our well-being, I also explore relational patterns, attachment experiences, and the ways we connect with ourselves and others as an important part of the therapeutic process.
Parenting after Separation & Divorce
For the past 15 years I have been completing Parenting Assessments and Voice of the Child Assessments for the Saskatchewan Family Law Division. In addition, I have facilitated a therapeutic group for children of separation & divorce called "Caught in the Middle". Through this experience I have been able to support families in working toward a healthier co-parenting relationship, and supported children in adjusting to the changes in their families. I continue to complete assessments through Family Justice Services and privately for families.
